Mammals

Spotted from a distance while visiting Islay, Scotland, in June 2022, these Roe Deer were mostly wandering through the valley below us. One female however was further ahead of us and made a dash for cover just as I caught a focus on her.
Birds

A pair of Black Ducks found in Algonquin Park in mid April 2023. The female was close to the trail on the Spruce Bog trail and was happily exploring the wetlands. The male was a little ways away and came towards us near the end of our shooting

Shot in Algonquin Park in mid April 2023, this pair were quietly grazing near the road along side the Spruce Bog trail.

This Pileated Woodpecker flew past us as we were walking the Spruce Bog trail in Algonquin Park in mid April 2023. Shortly after we were able to follow the sounds of his pecking and found him contentedly working away at the bottom of an old dead tree where he worked while we took photos of him.
